This has been a year of fierce resistance in the struggle for collective liberation and an end to immigrant detention in California. We’ve continued - and grown - our work in solidarity with those resisting inside ICE detention by providing legal support, engaging in advocacy, coordinating with survivors and partners across California, and fighting back against anti-immigrant and criminalizing narratives, which unfortunately are on the rise.
While we are devastated by our awareness of the harm that a second Trump administration will bring, we are also ready to get to work. We have been here before, and this time around CCIJ will build on our institutional knowledge, power not panic messaging, and existing strategies for liberation to defend our communities.
We received support from so many community members in the wake of Trump’s 2016 election when CCIJ started as the Northern California Rapid Response Network, and we hope you will support us now during our end-of-year fundraiser.
Your donations will help us continue our work, including our four priorities to prepare for 2025:
- Expand rapid response to ICE arrests.
- Support 100 detained individuals in seeking release.
- Advocate with the State of California to defend our communities.
- Push for an end to ICE contracts leveraging the existing call from Members of Congress.
As Frederick Douglass said, power concedes nothing without a fight. We are so grateful that we have your support as we continue supporting the fight for liberation.
Donate now to help us reach our goal of raising $5,000 by the end of the year!
